Short Description: The gentleMACS™ Octo Dissociator with Heaters is a benchtop instrument for automated and standardized tissue dissociation or homogenization of up to eight samples at a time. It is used to prepare viable single-cell or single-nucleus suspensions and tissue homogenates for downstream analysis and sorting.
Produser: Miltenyi Biotec, gentleMACS™ Octo Dissociator with Heaters, Cat. No. 130-096-427
Equipment Information:
Features:
- Automated and standardized dissociation of tissues into single-cell or single-nucleus suspensions, and tissue homogenization.
- Up to 8 samples processed in parallel or sequentially; all eight positions operate independently.
- Eight individual heating units allow enzymatic tissue digestion directly on the instrument; passive sample cooling is also possible.
- Optimized, ready-to-use gentleMACS Programs for a range of tissues, plus the option to create user-defined programs.
- Single-use gentleMACS C Tubes (tissue dissociation) and M Tubes (homogenization) provide a closed, sterile system and minimize cross-contamination.
- Applications include sample preparation for flow cytometry and cell sorting, single-cell and single-nucleus genomics, and RNA and protein extraction from tissues.
Operating Principle:
- The tissue sample is placed in a single-use gentleMACS tube with a rotor built into its cap. The instrument drives the rotor according to the selected program to disrupt the tissue mechanically, while the heating units maintain the temperature needed for enzymatic digestion in the same closed tube.
Technical Specification:
- Sample positions: 8, independently operated.
- Heating: 8 individual heating units.
- Passive cooling: 2–8 °C.
- Consumables: gentleMACS C Tubes, M Tubes and gentleMACS Perfusers.
- Control: integrated touchscreen display.
- Power supply: 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz.
Software: Integrated instrument software with gentleMACS Programs
