The center integrates core facilities equipped with state-of-the-art scientific equipment and multidisciplinary scientific expertise to ensure the efficient development of new biomedical programs and the improvement of existing therapeutic strategies, with a particular focus on age-related diseases and cancer. The center will later expand into the new building of the Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences currently under construction in the Saulėtekis Valley next to the Life Sciences Center.
Through this Competence center, biotechnology startups and researchers can develop products more quickly and efficiently, while the advanced infrastructure is open to collaboration at both national and international levels. The establishment of the center was guided by best practices from Heidelberg University, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), and other core facilities.
From Idea to Product
The Translational Center for Gene Technologies is more than a research facility — it is where innovation meets real-world application. We actively support the creation of start-ups, spin-off companies, and new products emerging from research conducted within the Center
