Study Process in Autumn 2021/22
Vilnius University is planning to start the studies on-campus from September. The beginning of the academic year 2021/22 is on 1st September. During this day, there will be a traditional Student Procession along with other festivities (thus, no lectures that day). Studies for Master degree students start on 2nd September.
The Government of the Republic of Lithuania has decided that for face-to-face activities at universities a person either:
- has recovered from COVID-19,
- has been vaccinated against COVID-19,
- or has a negative COVID-19 test result.
You will need to present a National Certificate, EU COVID Certificate, or similar nationally recognized proof of your immunity against the virus before attending any classes in person.
Lectures that are designed for big groups of students from different programmes will be taught remotely; other lectures will be held either remotely or face-to-face (the information will be given by your professors during the first meeting), but laboratory and practical work will be done on-campus only. This means that only students with the Certificate can participate in practicals and lab work, and the ones that do not have one will sadly be forbidden to attend those activities. Therefore, we encourage all the students to be vaccinated as soon as possible.
