Bird Vision Research Group is a part of the Department of Neurobiology and Biophysics at the Institute of Biosciences (Life Sciences Center, Vilnius University).

We investigate how birds see the world, how their visual system functions, its structure, and how its properties influence their behaviour. Therefore, we explore various aspects of bird vision. Psychophysics, 3D videography, and histology are used in our research.

Currently, we investigate the temporal resolution of owls, how penguins stabilize their gaze underwater, and the cellular structure of the bird retina.
