From 19 to 22 October 2026, Vilnius University's Life Sciences Center (VU LSC) will welcome Dr Jan Venter and Dr Anina Coetzee from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa, who will deliver lectures and workshops on wildlife conservation and management as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
The workshops will explore challenges in large carnivore conservation and management, the consequences of using fencing as a conservation tool, supplementary feeding of wildlife, and decision-making in planning conservation interventions.
Each workshop will consist of a one-hour lecture followed by a two-hour discussion, during which participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss practical examples, and share insights.
