Lithuania's outgoing President Dalia Grybauskaite on 6 July, the State Day presented state awards to VU LSC scientists dr. Urtė Neniškytė and prof. Sonata Jarmalaitė for their merits to Lithuania.
Dr. U. Neniškytė and prof. S. Jarmalaitė for promoting Lithuania’s name abroad received the Knight’s Cross of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas.
It was the last time that D. Grybauskaitė presented state awards on the occasion of the State Day.
