Preliminary Topic: Transcriptomic response of Saccharomyces cerevisiae with different prion states to caffeine
Short Description of the Internship Work: The project will focus primarily on the bioinformatic analysis of Saccharomyces cerevisiae transcriptomic data to investigate how different prion states influence the cellular response to caffeine. Differential gene expression, functional enrichment, and candidate genes associated with caffeine response will be analysed. The bioinformatic findings will be complemented by microbiological experiments (growth curve analysis and spot assays, qPCR)
