The museum is open to visitors Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM.

Guided tours can be arranged at other times, upon agreement.

VU Museum of Zoology welcomes visitors only with prior arrangement for visiting time.

Dr. Virginija Podėnienė, head of the Department of Zoology, is directly responsible for the collection.

Daily activity of the museum is carried out by one senior specialist, who is responsible for:

- Curation, management, and inventory of the collections;

- Deposition of scientific material collected during the research of the staff or students of the Department of Zoology;

- Teaching tours for the students of the Institute of Biosciences;

- Educational tours for the general public;

- Preparation and publishing of the educational and other material about the activities of the museum.
