Equipment Information:

The Onyx microfluidic system operates by precisely controlling fluid flows within microchannels, where droplets or semi-permeable capsules are formed and manipulated using syringe pumps and electric fields. The system enables real-time creation, merging, and modification of droplets or capsules, monitored through an integrated high-speed camera. Onyx supports both droplet microfluidics and semi-permeable capsule technologies, making it suitable for a variety of biological and biochemical experiments. It is applied in single-cell analysis, microbial genome studies, enzyme evolution assays, protein screening, and multi-omic research. Due to its compact size, Onyx can be operated within laminar flow hoods, anaerobic chambers, or temperature-controlled environments.
