Equipment Information:

Functions:

  • Precise liquid handling from 0.5 µL to 1 mL
  • Simultaneous processing of 96 samples using CO-RE II 96-channel head
  • Plate transfer and positioning using CO-RE grippers
  • Temperature control (+4 °C … +70 °C) and shaking (30–2500 rpm, RT+5 °C–105 °C)
  • Magnetic bead handling
  • Dispensing of large reagent volumes (20 mL / 50 mL reservoirs)
  • Program creation and automated workflow management via VENUS Five software

Capabilities:

  • Automated handling of microplates and tubes
  • Integration with various modules: temperature, shaking, magnetic bead modules
  • High-throughput operation (10-position MTP holders)
  • Accurate and reproducible reagent distribution for multiple samples

Purpose / Usage:

  • Pipetting, reagent distribution, and sample preparation for biological experiments
  • Preparation of reaction mixtures, DNA/RNA analysis, ELISA, and cell culture manipulations
  • Automation of repetitive tasks, reducing human error

Applications:

  • Molecular biology, microbiology, and biochemistry laboratories
  • Biotechnology and pharmaceutical research
  • Diagnostic laboratories and clinical research

Operating Principle:

  1. The user creates or selects a protocol in VENUS Five software.
  2. The pipetting head accurately aspirates and dispenses liquids into microplates or tubes.
  3. CO-RE grippers automatically transfer plates between modular units (temperature, shaking, magnetic bead modules).
  4. Modules perform reactions with controlled temperature and shaking or manipulate magnetic beads.
  5. The system records workflow and results, ensuring reproducibility and precision.
