Short Description: Dynamically mixed continuous flow reactor comprising 10 CSTR cells in series with interstage channels. Suitable for homogeneous and multi-phase reactions including slurries, solids and gas–liquid systems. Working volume 30–90 mL, temperature −40 to +140 °C, pressure up to 10 bar.
Produser: AMT
Equipment Information:
The Coflore ACR is a laboratory continuous flow reactor operating as 10 CSTR cells in series, giving plug-flow-like behaviour. Each cell contains a free-moving, variable-volume agitator which is activated by lateral shaking of the reactor block at 2–6 Hz. This mixing principle enables efficient processing of low-flow, viscous, multi-phase media, slurries and gas–liquid mixtures with minimal risk of blocking. Interstage channels between the cells eliminate uncontrolled bypassing and back-mixing. Each cell has its own side port (e.g. for a thermocouple or reagent injection) and a dedicated window port. The block can be fully disassembled for cleaning. Temperature is controlled via an external thermostat (e.g. Huber). Applications: process development and optimization, scale-up, route scouting, catalyst screening, hydrogenations, Grignard reactions, transesterifications, nitrations, biocatalysis, immobilized catalyst reactions, liquid–liquid extraction, high-pressure chemistry, slurry flow chemistry.

Information for the User:
- A briefing by the responsible person is mandatory before use. When using aggressive reagents, flammable solvents, high pressures or gaseous reagents, the reactor must be operated in a fume hood or with connected local exhaust ventilation; appropriate PPE is required. Compatibility of the reagents with Hastelloy C276 / PTFE / FFKM must be verified before each experiment. Before start-up, ensure the thermostat (Huber) heat transfer fluid is circulating, clean oil-free compressed air (3 bar) is connected, and the reactor block is properly clamped. After use, flush the block with a suitable solvent; disassembly and cleaning must follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Additional Comments:
Residence time is set by pump flow rate, not by channel length, so residence time screening is fast without hardware changes. Processes developed on the ACR scale directly to the Coflore ATR (pilot) and Coflore RTR (production) reactors. An external thermostat (Huber recommended), reagent pumps and compressed air supply are required but not part of the ACR package.
