After a successful VOLT series launch last month, we are glad to announce the second seminar!
Our speaker this time is Dr. Gediminas Drabavičius, a guest from VU Faculty of Medicine Translational Health Research Institute. His talk will be titled “CRISPR Screening to Dissect Host-Pathogen Interactions and Other Phenomena”. The talk will be in English.
Talk highlights:
- Host-pathogen interactions are a driving force of evolution
- CRISPR-Cas is an emergent tool, whereby we exploit host-pathogen interactions for our own benefit
- Bacterial toxins is the main axis of bacterial pathogenesis
- Bacterial toxins are a tool not just against us, but also against other forms of life
We look forward to seeing you again next Thursday October 15th, R103, 15:30! (And for the Happy Hour after 🍕)
