We kindly invite you to a lecture by Dr Julien Fattebert entitled “Animal movement and connectivity conservation in a fragmented world”, which will take place on September 30th at 14:00 in room R-104.
Dr Julien Fattebert has extensive experience of the management and conservation of a range of taxa in diverse ecosystems around the world, with particular expertise in the ecology of large carnivores and ungulates, as well as dispersal and migration. His key analytical skills applied to wildlife management and conservation lie in estimating population density, analysing movements, and modelling habitat selection and landscape connectivity.
In this talk, he briefly presents the concepts of landscape fragmentation and connectivity, and the implication for wildlife movement and conservation. He will then present an overview of his past and current research on these topics, including collaborations with graduate students.
