On Monday, the 15th of September, Jack Schofield is visiting the Life Sciences Center.

Jack is currently finishing his PhD at CÚRAM, Research Ireland Centre for Medical Devices, University of Galway, Ireland. He focuses on a first-of-its-kind N-glycome characterisation of the human cornea and analysing how glycosylation patterns are altered during pathological neovascularization. His research involves a combination of methods such as liquid chromatography & mass spectrometry-based glycomics, MALDI mass spectrometry imaging, lectin histochemistry, proteomics and in vitro models of corneal pathologies. Jack is particularly interested in applying glycomic approaches to complex tissue and cell models, with the aim of uncovering how glycans regulate development, disease, and tissue remodelling.

Looking forward to meeting you on Monday at 13:00 @R405.
