LAURITA KLIMKAITĖ will defend her thesis entitled "Virulence strategies for the opportunistic pathogen Stenotrophomonas maltophilia" for the degree of Doctor of Science in Biochemistry.
The dissertation was prepared between 2020 and 2024 during doctoral studies in Vilnius University, Life Sciences Center.
The research was supported by the Lithuanian Science Council (P-DAP-24-166, S-MIP-23-109, S-SV-24-146), the Vilnius University Science Promotion Fund (MSF-JM-3/2021, MSF-JM-12/2023), the European Society of Biochemists, the European Society for Microbiology, the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, the Life Sciences Centre of the Vilnius University, and the Vilnius City Development Agency Go Vilnius.
