On 9 November, a new lunch restaurant, "Noon", will open at the Vilnius University Life Sciences Center (VU LSC). The Saulėtekis campus community will be welcomed into a modern, cosy and colourful space, while the new dining concept will offer greater freedom of choice. A special offer will also be available during the opening week.

A new lunch experience in a renovated space

The former cafeteria at VU LSC has been renovated and adapted to the new lunch restaurant concept. The interior now features more colour, comfortable upholstered chairs, wooden elements and decorative plants, while modern lighting adds a distinctive touch to the space.

"We want the VU Life Sciences Center to be not only an advanced place to study and work, but also an environment where people simply enjoy spending time. Renovating community spaces is one of the goals outlined in our new strategy, so it is encouraging to see these plans turning into tangible improvements. I hope the renovated dining area will become a welcoming meeting place not only for our Center's community but for the entire Saulėtekis campus," says Dr Arvydas Lubys, Director of VU LSC.

Create your own lunch plate

Alongside the renovated space, a new lunch concept is being introduced. "Noon" is a restaurant brand created in Lithuania, offering a wide selection of dishes and a flexible self-service dining experience.

All dishes are displayed in open food counters, allowing visitors to see the daily selection and decide for themselves what to put on their plates. They can choose a main course with or without their preferred side dishes or, if they wish, create a meal entirely from their favourite vegetables, grains and other accompaniments.

Both meat and vegetarian dishes will be available daily. Main courses will have fixed prices, while side dishes, sauces and soups will be priced by weight – just €0.95 per 100 grams.

"When developing Noon, we wanted to rethink the traditional lunch model and give customers more freedom of choice. Some prefer a hearty meal, while others opt for something lighter or enjoy trying several different flavours. At our restaurant, everyone can put together a meal that suits their individual preferences. We hope the new space in Saulėtekis will become a place people want to return to," says Donatas Vaitasius, a representative of the restaurant business.

From 9 to 13 November, the new Noon restaurant will celebrate its opening with a special offer: the first 50 customers each day will receive a 50% discount on their lunch.

A restaurant concept born in Lithuania

Noon is a Lithuanian lunch restaurant brand developed by a team with many years of experience in the food service industry.
