To ensure the broadest possible accessibility of biological measurements, practical analytical devices known as biosensors are often employed. Although genetic analyses are widely used in most modern laboratories, genetic biosensors (genosensors) remain relatively uncommon instruments.
In this work, two genosensors suitable for diagnostic and environmental monitoring applications were developed. Additional studies are also presented, highlighting important aspects of genosensor design. Alongside practical design considerations, fundamental questions are explored, including electrochemical DNA sequencing based on isothermal dissociation.
These studies contribute to the further development and application of genosensors in scientific research, diagnostics, and environmental monitoring.
