On September 16, a delegation of participants from the international conference Life Sciences Baltics visited the Vilnius University Life Sciences Center. The delegation consisted of representatives from biotechnology companies, research institutions, and international organizations from Estonia, Poland, Taiwan, and the United States.

The guests were welcomed by Prof. Eglė Lastauskienė, Advisor to the Director on International Relations, Julius Gagilas, Deputy Director for Business Collaboration and Infrastructure, and Kristina Černiauskienė, Head of Marketing and Communications at VU LSC.

During the visit, the guests were introduced to the main research areas and study process at the Center. Later on, discussions focused on potential collaboration opportunities not only with VU LSC but also with other university departments, biobanks, and healthcare institutions. The visitors expressed interest in exploring partnerships in both scientific research and innovation development.

Following the discussions, the delegation had the opportunity to get a closer look at the Center’s infrastructure. Dr. Giedrė Tamulaitienė presented the advanced capabilities of the CryoEM equipment, while in Prof. Linas Mažutis’ laboratory, Dominykas Murza introduced ongoing single-cell analysis research. The visit concluded at Prof. Urtė Neniškytė’s laboratory, where Dr. Ugnė Kuliešiūtė shared insights into neuroscience research and demonstrated novel microscopy equipment.
