On May 5–9, the Life Sciences Center welcomed two early-career researchers – Katarzyna Ciapała and Katarzyna Pawlik-Szczerba – from the Maj Institute of Pharmacology, Polish Academy of Sciences, based in Kraków.
During their visit, the researchers spent time at the Department of Biological Models, Institute of Biochemistry, where they were acquainted with ongoing research projects, developed practical skills working with microglial cells, and exchanged insights into their scientific interests. They also visited the Department of Neurobiology and Biophysics, where they learned about the experimental methods used there and discussed current research initiatives.
The visit aimed to strengthen inter-institutional collaboration, promote knowledge exchange, and establish connections for future joint research in neurology and immunology.
The PANERIS project funded the visit as a short-term scientific mission.
