- Nanoparticle dispersion
- Sonochemistry applications (ultrasound-assisted chemical reactions)
- Applications
- Cell biology and molecular biology laboratories
- Biotechnology and pharmaceutical research
- Academic and industrial research requiring precisely controlled ultrasonic processing
Operating Principle:
- The ultrasonic generator produces high-frequency vibrations (~20 kHz).
- The vibrations are transmitted through a transducer to the sonotrode (probe) immersed in the sample.
- The probe causes sample vibrations, creating cavitation – formation and collapse of tiny bubbles that disrupt cells or larger molecules.
- Amplitude and pulse settings are adjusted according to sample sensitivity, ensuring efficient yet safe processing.
- If a temperature probe is used, the sample temperature can be monitored and controlled to protect proteins or other sensitive components.
