The Lithuanian Society of Young Researchers together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania awarded the authors of the best Master's theses.
In the field of medicine and health sciences, the thesis of VU Life Sciences Center researcher Mantas Liudvinaitis "Influence of intestinal microbiota on the expression of components of the endocannabinoid system during aging" was recognized as the best. The supervisor was Dr. Aurelijus Burokas.
Džiugas Jurgutis won the nomination for the best thesis in the field of natural sciences. The topic of his Master's thesis is "Assessment of the microviscosity of lipid vesicles in differentiated mesenchymal stem cells using the BODIPY molecular rotor". The supervisor was Prof. Dr. Vitalijus Karabanovas (National Cancer Institute).
This year, the "Best Master's Thesis 2023" competition received 52 final theses. The works were nominated in the following categories: technology, agriculture, nature, social sciences, medicine and health and arts.
