As the war in Ukraine continues and Russia destroys Ukraine's energy infrastructure for science and studies, the President of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, Academician Dr. Jūras Banys contacted Prof. Anatoly Zagorodny, President of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences (UNMA), to ask how the Lithuanian scientific community could contribute to and support the UNMA during this difficult period.
President Zagorodny thanked them for their concern and asked them to purchase generators for the research institutes to ensure the continuation of research.
The LMA has signed an international cooperation agreement with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This can be supported through the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences' Research and International Cooperation Charity and Support Fund, which will be used to purchase generators and transport them to Kiev.
