  • The objective

The aim of this program is to train professionals who would like to experience of what studying a doctorate might be, whilst at the same time allowing to earn a high valuable masters level qualification for the carrier in industry.

The uniqueness of the program is a study based on individual interdisciplinary specialization according to student’s interest through projects in laboratories and individual contact hours (mentoring).

The graduate of this program will be able to plan and conduct a research project, understand and construct the methodology, analyze and present the results to the scientific community and society; effectively co-operate with scientists, engineers and managers; contribute to interdisciplinary teams in solving complex tasks.

A holder of a Master's degree in Molecular Biotechnology has good working knowledge in biotechnological processes and is competent to carry out independent and original investigations in the field of theoretical and applied Biotechnology. He/she also has acquired IT, team-working, critical and analytical thinking skills, has abilities of extending his/her knowledge without guidance and is ready to hold personal responsibility for his/her professional development.

Studies are finished by defending of Final Master Degree Project.


The main form of assessment is an examination. Every course unit is concluded with either a written or written-oral examination or pass/fail assessment. Student's knowledge and general performance during the examination are assessed by using the grading scale from 1 (very poor) to 10 (excellent).



  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Technological Sciences and Engineering Sciences (Bioengineering).
  • English language proficiency – the level required - not lower than B2 (following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), or TOEFL score 75/IELTS score 6

Applicants must submit:

  1. i) a motivational letter for the study programme.
  2. ii) a motivational interview will be conducted on the 10-point scale. Criteria of the interview: perspective vision of your professional life; English language skills.

iii) one scientific recommendation


The grade for admission (K) is calculated by the following formula:

K= V+E +D

V – is the average of all bachelor grades (except for final bachelor thesis and/or final bachelor exam);
E – evaluation of motivation interview;
D – at least 30 credits of subjects must be from the fields of biology, molecular biology, chemistry or biochemistry..
